The Key To A Successful Healing Journey

There are many misconceptions about success. When it comes to having a successful healing journey, it’s important to understand that sometimes, success will look like: crying your eyes out for a few hours. As we uncover old wounds, as memories rise from our subconscious, as we become aware of the toxic cycles we have been unconsciously repeating and the self harming core beliefs that we have been holding onto: we will inevitably feel strong waves on emotions. Naturally. Those emotions do equate to failure. We should never allow those emotions to intimidate us or discourage us from digging further into our healing and continued liberation. Recently, I’ve become aware of some pretty harsh truths about myself and it’s not a fun feeling. The ego wants to point fingers instead of taking responsibility. Anger wants to justify my reasons for holding onto things that I should be letting go of. Sadness wants to keep me lingering within old memories instead of doing the work to forgive and redefine those experiences. The ego, anger, sadness: they want those things. But what about what I want? I don’t want to get lost in my feelings. I want to continue to create a healthy relationship with them so I can find answers within my feelings. I want to understand their messages. When I sense any resistance in the form of anger or ego or sadness, I want to continue learning that it is in that place of resistance where I should dig further and discover more places that are in need of healing. These days, I am understanding that I am able to USE my emotions to my advantage. While I feel the emotion, I will also be researching, observing and discovering answers. Why would we have so many emotions? If not for our benefit? The key to a successful healing journey is developing a clear understanding of what emotions actually are.

Emotions are:

Emotions are NOT:

A powerful guide

A weakness

Constant indicators

Negative

A realignment tool to reconnect with my source

A distraction

My most powerful vibrational sensory

A threat

A vibrational offering from me to my source

Meant to destroy me

I used to think that, as soon as a felt any heavy feeling, it meant that I was experiencing something negative but that’s not true. There is no such thing as a negative emotion. All of our emotions can be USED as guides. We can use them as guides back to our power, back to our source, back to our joy and back to our home within ourselves. When an emotions rises, it DEMANDS our attention and we have the power to CHOOSE what actions to take. I’ll be honest with you, sometimes I forget all of this and I ride the waves until I remember that I ALWAYS have a choice. This is why I share these messages: to remind myself, to remind you guys, of this powerful truth. We are made in the image of God aren’t we? God has emotions, doesn’t he? And God perfect, right? Therefore, emotions are perfect. A perfect system that is meant to assist us on our journey towards healing. So, when you feel a heavy wave of any emotion, it's not a sign to stop or to give up, keep going, you're on the right track.

That’s all for this week my friends. I’m so grateful for all of you for taking the time to connect each week and grow together. One day at a time. Take a deep breath. In through your nose and out through your mouth. One day at a time. I’m sending you so much love, strength and continued healing.
